Creating spreadsheet of data sources for all shapefiles/layers in an MXD file

I have to remove dozen layers and shapefiles from an MXD file, but I need to know where I can find them if I have to add them back. Yes, I can simply turn off the layers. However, I am curious if there if I can generate a spreadsheet of sorts to give information on the data source for each type of data in the map file.
