I'm trying to show where different non-governmental organizations are operating globally using ArcMap 10.1. For this map, my primary unit is a country, and most countries have two or three relevant organizations. I would like to use some symbology or label option to display a small custom image (i.e. their logo) for each organization within countries where they are operating. If one country only has one active NGO, then only that logo should display. If there are two NGOs, then I would like both symbols to display. It's ok if this looks "squished" on a global level; I'll make most maps at the regional level.
It may be easier to do this in a visual design program (e.g. Photoshop), but the data will be updated periodically, so a semi-automated solution would be very helpful. I can manipulate the source data on my end to conform to whatever format works best for this process. Right now I have a concatenated variable that lists all active NGOs and I also have separate variables for each NGO.
Any ideas? Is there any more information I can provide?
