IGXDialog with ArcEngine Arc 10

Maybe I've been lucky, because I've used GxDialog for years with 9.3 and all the forums say I can't. But now I'm in 10 and it really doesn't work. I don't want to use the Windows.forms method because it doesn't help when getting Grid files. I really want the user to get the same feel for featureclasses and rasters as when adding in ArcMap.
Is there a substitution???
