Hi all,
I'm posing the question to my desktop users to migrate our data from a Projected Coordiante System (GDA94/MGA Zone 50 - EPSG: 28350) to GDA 94/ LL - EPSG 4283).
Our data is in an SDE Databse (SQL Server 2008 R2).
The problem I have is that when I bring a feature into ArcMap, it shows the distance of line features in degrees. I'm wanting to display the distance in Metres within the label (which I'm hoping someone has a python script to calculate Degrees to Metres).
I've been looking online, but I've not come across anything which works at this stage.
So short question: Does anyone know, how to convert Decimal Degrees into Metres for line features?
Cheers,
Cory
PS: If anyone is wondering why I'm looking to move to GCS from PCS... We have multiple datasets currently in a GDA94/MGA Zones, 50, 52, 53, 54, 55 which I'm looking to merge into a single feature classes, rather than working with 5 datasets across the country.
