Locked Network Dataset

Hey all,

I'm having problems with having ArcMap open that has either a Route, or the Network Dataset as part of the table of contents - it locks the network dataset. I'd like to be able to change the hierarchy ranges and solve the problem again to see differences.

I know this is possible - the dataset that our data provider gives us does not lock when it's open in an ArcMap, just the one I made to work with editing and modifying and whatnot.
