When attempting to project a shapefile from NAD83 to Clarke 1866 Lambert Conformal Conic, I am required to select a geographic transformation. I could not locate the Clarke 1866 projection in the available list of projections, and had to bring it in from another file. If I understand correctly (and please advise if this is not correct), Lambert Conformal Conic is similar to NAD27. Would that still apply with the Clarke 1866 Lambert? I do not see an option that meets these criteria in the list of optional geographic transformations. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to complete this reprojection correctly?
