From ArcMap's Catalog window, why can't I delete a feature class in a file geodatabase in the "Home" folder?
IE, right click on the Geodatabase > Delete. It responds with popup: "Delete Failed- Failed to delete selected object(s) Workspace or data source is read only."
However, I can delete the same feature class if I browse to the same location in the Catalog window -- the same exact folder, but navigate to it through the folder connections instead of going to the "Home" folder.
Is there something I can do to make the Home workspace allow me to delete a feature class ? I have tried right clicking on the home folder in the Catalog window > Properties and unchecking "Read Only" but it does not work - the properties remain unchanged as read only. Seems the Home folder would be more useful if you could delete or rename feature classes in it.
