Hi,
I have many (approximately 1000) high resolution orthoimages of an area of Eastern Norway. I am only interested in a certain part of the dataset covering the centre of the region, however I am struggling to find a way to extract just these orthoimages and reduce the amount of data in ArcMap. I have a polygon of the area that I want to work in, but I have not found a way of using this to extract just the images that lie within its borders.
It seems that both the clip took and the extract by mask tool only work with single rasters, not multiple. I also tried doing a "mosaic to new raster" operation with the processing extent set to the polygon, however this took around 2 days to complete 20% of the process before ArcMap froze and shut itself down.
I am sure there is an easy solution to this, but I can't think what it is! Would be great to have some help.
