Hi everyone,
General analysis question here. Wanted to get input on how you would go about this.
We have a new landcover feature class that we have been analyzing, clipped out per district in our county to determine acreage. Now we are tasked with producing landcover per parcel in the county for imperviousness, agriculture, etc. I've been trying to come up with a simpler way of doing this. Currently, we are splitting out each use into seperate feature classes, unioning to the parcel layer, then joining each class to the parcel so that the finished product would have the parcel number, and each column (field) would have a land use category with acreage. So basically the attribute table would look like this:
Parcel # | landcover 1 acreage | landcover 2 acreage | landcover 3 acreage | etc.
I'd rather do this in modelbuilder so that I can document the process; however, if there's an easy way to do it manually, I will. I'm hoping that someone has done analysis like this, even if it didn't have to do specifically with parcels and landcover. Haven't hand any luck in the searches. Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Jason
