Upgrade ArcSDE from Version 9.1 to Version 9.3.1

we have ArcSDE 9.1 with Oracle 10g in AIX 5.3.We would like upgrade the ArcSDE 9.1 to ArcSDE 9.3.1

We would be following the below process to upgrade from ArcSDE 9.1 to ArcSDE 9.3:

1. We have a system (A) with ArcSDE 9.1 and data is residing in Oracle 10g and the System is in AIX 5.3
2. We have another system (B) where only Oracle 10g exist, but the system is in AIX 6.1
3. We will take the Oracle cold backup from ArcSDE 9.1 Machine and restore this backup in Oracle 10g present in Systme (B) i.e Oracle in AIX 6.1
4. We will install ArcSDE 9.3.1 in system (B) where we have restored the Oracle data
5. We will use arcsde upgrade script to upgrade the ArcSDE in system (B)

Can anybody validate this process and let me know whether it will work or not?
