My goal is to allow users to select a street centerline and display the appropriate graphic (pdf, jpg, etc.) about that location along the street centerline. I wish to do this in the context of linear referencing, accessing the graphics as Attachments. (That's my concept, at least.)
I've created my Route and Event Table. I've attached the graphics to the linear features defined as the From and To Measures within the Event Table. However, when I make the Route Event Layer (the graphical representation of my Event Table), the attachments don't make the jump from the Event Table to the Route Event Layer.
I don't mind creating a feature class from the Route Event Layer and accessing the Attachments like that, but I'd like to maintain the flexibility of keeping the attachments updated in the Event Table - just exporting a new feature class for the user community periodically.
Am I going beyond what linear referencing can do on its own?
