Basic Help with what to do with Analysis

Hello,

I have a basic question, and I am confused about which analysis tool I should use.


I have 3 shapefiles of the same Tract data. They are age, income, and education. I categorized each attribute within the shapefiles to see how the city is spread out.

I would like to "cut-out" the Tracts that I do not need from each shapefile but then overlap all 3 shapefiles to give me which Tract is best for my criteria. It is basically overlapping each shapefile and see which Tract has the age, income, and education that I am looking for.

I thought to maybe use the Intersect tool, but I am not sure about this.

Does anyone have advice on which tool I would use for this process?
