Help new user of ArcMap

Hi all,

I'm the new user of the ArcMap I don't know how to create a map or a layer to edit. Anyone can guide me step by step or show me where to download the project to do :( I just only use Esri Maps for Office and Arcgis Online to create map and layer and now this software is so new for me :( please help me !!!!
