The 'never' string in 'date saved'/'date printed'/'date exported' dynamic text

When a dynamic text element parses to nothing, you see the text [empty] on the layout and you can add the emptyStr tag to customize the text displayed.
But what about date dynamic text elements? When there's no date to display you see the text 'never' but you can't use the emptyStr tag to customize that text.

Is there any way to do this?
