How to get X-Y-Z coordinates of polyline map to/from points?

Hi,

We are in process of developing desktop application. In the desktop application, we need to get X-Y-Z coordinates of selected area of the map in our application. We want to export data containing X-Y-Z coordinates of its to and from points, respectively in our application. We will be using VB.NET for that.

Please also provide license info that. Also any free version is available during development of desktop application.

What will be license cost if we want to integrate ARCGIS with our desktop application?
