"Inconsistent extent" error message for data imported from tab format

Hi all,

I'm having issues projecting data I imported from Mapinfo tab to shp. When adding the data to ArcMap I get an error message "Invalid extent for output coordinate system".

When importing the data to ArcMap I first selected the "Read from source" option as I didn't know the original coordinate system. The data failed to line up with other maps and I noticed that e.g. the value for false easting seems way too big for TM... This is the coordinate system info for the data:

Projection: Transverse_Mercator
false_easting: 25500000,000000
false_northing: 0,000000
central_meridian: 25,000000
scale_factor: 1,000000
latitude_of_origin: 0,000000
Linear Unit: Meter (1,000000)

Geographic Coordinate System: GCS_WGS_1984
Angular Unit: Degree (0,017453292519943299)
Prime Meridian: Greenwich (0,000000000000000000)
Datum: D_WGS_1984
Spheroid: World_Geodetic_System_of_1984
Semimajor Axis: 6378137,000000000000000000
Semiminor Axis: 6356752,314245179300000000
Inverse Flattening: 298,257223563000030000

I was later told that the projection for the map should be ETRS_1989_ETRS-GK25FIN so I changed the projection and tried displaying the data again - this is when the error message "inconsistent extent" showed up.

I don't know how to fix this issue - please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

I am using Desktop 9.3.1.
