Parcel Fabric Error

Hello everyone,

I am working on creating a topology for a parcel fabric and I can get every rule but one to work. When I try to validate the "Must Not Intersect or Touch Interior", Error id: 220 appears and says that the item is not found in this collection.

I have tried several solutions to try and fix the problem:

1. I have tried to perform this task in a File Geodatabase and Personal Geodatabase, I get the same error.
2. I have tried to fix all the errors in the polygon shapefile and then convert it to a line shapefile then run this.
3. I have tried to zoom in closer to an area and then run the rule.

So far no success. One thing I did find online was to break up the line shapefile to reduce the amount of errors that are coming up because I know there is a limited amount of errors that the topology can process. If anyone has any suggestions or knows how to break the shapefile down to limit the amount of errors I would be incredibly grateful. I am using ArcGIS 10.1 Advanced.
