I am creating a map package in ArcMap 10.1 where the mxd uses feature classes referenced by an SDE Oracle connection. The feature classes in Oracle have secondary indexes created to improve performance of the map package.
When the map package is created, these indexes are not created in the file geodatabase, just the primary index of objectid is created.
Is there any way to force these Oracle indexes to be included in the map package?
I know I could unpack the map package, add the indexes to the file geodatabase and then re-create the map package but there must be a better way.
Thanks for any suggestions.
