Hello,
I don't know how else to describe this except for the screen is pixilating. I have a dual monitor set up with one used to view ArcMap in full screen. It this which seems to have the issue while the other one is fine. The problem is not occurring with any other program and if I shrink the window and move it to the other screen the glitches will not carry over. When I move it back the problem continues.
Whenever the problem starts I'm using the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of the map. The top one third of the screen will have this glitch across it while the map is redrawing. When it is done the map will be clear but the outer edges of the program window will continue to be skewed. I've already had the graphics card and cables replaced, multiple attempts at removing the program, cleaning registry of all records to ESRI, clean installs of the software, new mouse drivers, and new MXD's. All that is left now is to try a new monitor but I don't know if that will solve the problem.
It only happens with ArcMap and closing the program and reopening it will clear out whatever is causing the issue until it occurs again. I can't pin down a cause as it happens randomly and can go 2-3wks without an occurrence. I'm running Windows XP, Desktop 10, and service pack 3 of ESRI software.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? If its hardware related all I can think is something in the coding when zooming in the map does not want to play well with monitor causing it to display funky.
