Point shapefile stops displaying at 2,100,000 scale

I have a point shapefile that I am creating in an arcpy script. When I load the shapefile in ArcMap and zoom in above 2,100,000, the layer stops displaying. The layer displays fine at scales smaller than this however. I tried the Repair Geometry tool but that did not work. I have "Show layer at all scales" selected, and do not have anything in the Defintion Query box. Any ideas to resolve this issue?
