Export to PDF OK, PDF to Print Errors!

Hello,

I have a map product with 4 data frames displayed; 1 main and 3 inset maps containing similar data at a larger scale.

I also have a large title block with text and a LOGO.png image.

The 3 inset maps also have extent indicator boxes displayed on the main data frame.

When I export to PDF, I get good looking map product as expected.

When I send this PDF to the printer the extent indicators disappear, the inset maps and associated text labels disappear, the title
block, text and LOGO.png disappear. Various other non-annotation text labels from the main map also disappear.

Because the map seemingly exports to PDF with no problems, I suspect the problem could lie in the printer's interpretation and translation of the PDF. I theorize that it could be a problem with how the PDF is compressed that is causing the printer to trip up in reading it.

Ultimately, I am unsure of what could be causing this problem. Can anybody suggest a direction I should look in or any potential causes of a print error such as this ?
