Soil Data Viewer 5.2 & ArcGis 9.3.1

We are having an issue using Soil Data Viewer 5.2 and ArcMap 9.3.1. The issue is that we are getting errors trying to import a database through Soil Data Viewer from Access 2007. I am thinking it is an issue with SDV 5.2 trying to communicate with ArcMap 9.3.1 and the version of Microsoft Access. Currently an upgrade to SDV 6.1 and Arc 10.1 is not doable due to a printing issue needing us to stay on 9.3.1. Any suggestions?
