Legend exporting issues with a dashed symbol patch

I was curious to know if anyone else has experienced the issue where exporting your maps using the symbol patch of a circle as a dashed line never seems to export. If the symbol is a solid line or solid line with a fill combination, it works just fine. If the symbol is a dashed line it never works. I have noticed that an ellipse with a dashed line exports correctly. I have been noticing this issue since 10.0 and I recently upgraded to 10.2.2 and it’s still there. Any suggestions or a work around?
