Table join causes layers to disappear when creating mobile cache

So I got a mobile cache to work properly but when I did a table join and created the mobile cache again the layers list box was blank giving me only a map schema when I click ok. If I remove the table join the layers come back and I can create the mobile cache.

I tried using a related instead and everything worked fine. However I have a calculated field that references fields when there is a table join. I am not sure how I would go about doing the calculated field when the fields do not show up in the list.
