I am having a hard time getting a table to join properly. My goal is to use a field from the joined table to label with.
I have some parcel data given to me, they have only one field for address "1234 Memory Ln" I want to label my map with only "1234" I exported a table out, found an excel formula that allowed me to add 2 additional fields one for "street number" "1234" and one for street name "Memory Ln." I deleted out other unnecessary fields from the new table. leaving original address field, parcel ID and object ID. The join wont validate because of invalid characters, but I have cleaned up my new table and formatted the address to number and the street name to text. The join works in a way that I can view and label the parcel ID field and the object ID field from the joined "new" table but the data in attribute table for the 2 new address fields shows null. Oddly using the identify tool will show these fields as if they were joined correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jon.
