Mxd Crashes if it has Bing Imagery as one of the layers

Hi All,

I am using ArcMap 10.1 standard and when I try to open mxds that had Bing Imagery in them the mxd immediately crashes. Our company opted not get a Bing key so we don't have that but some of our older mxds still have those layers. Oddly a co-worker in a different office is able to open the same mxd, remove the Bing layers, save, then I am able to open the mxd just fine. We can't figure out what the difference is and why they can open the mxd and I cannot. Any help would be appreciated.
