Attribute Table Problems

I am working on a project using ArcMap 10.1 for desktop and I am having trouble with one of my data layers. The layer consists of 132 park playground entries in the specific layer's attribute table and only a select number of them appear on the actual map layout. Does anyone know where I may be going wrong or how to resolve the problem I am having?
