When clipping one poly layer against another using the Clip tool, in the Clip dialog window I use the pulldowns to select my 2 layers
The default selection in the pulldowns is a layer way down in my Table of Contents (see the first illustration), but I want to use layers that are near the top of the TOC (see second illustration)
Is there a way to set ArcMap (10.2.1) to default to the top of the TOC?
I ask this because ArcGIS 9.3.1 acted in that fashion.
