Hi. When I try to open a map, ArcMap crashes just as the map starts to appear on the screen. The only way I can open a map is to open ArcMap to a new blank map, and then click File-->Open and browse to the existing map and then it doesn't crash. If I try to open the map by double-clicking on the mxd file in ArcCatalog or Windows explorer, or by opening ArcMap and browsing to it from the "Getting Started" window, the map crashes.
I recently upgraded from 10.1 to 10.2, and I think it's only the maps that were created before the upgrade that behave this way. New saved maps seem to open without problem. Some older maps may have had VBA code in their MapDocument files...Not sure if that's related or not.
Another user down the hall is having the same problem, and upgraded to 10.2 around the same time.
Any thoughts?
