lost joins and links after update to 10.2

I've lost almost all of my joins in existing .mxd files after updating to 10.2.

I didn't just update, unfortunately I also moved some files around.

Is there a way to re-establish the lost joins? Right now, they're not showing up at all and I can't even tell what joins should be there.

In other words, the file no longer even shows a join, just the original layer.
