Geotiffs used to Publish for ArcReader..speed it up?

I have an mxd with over 300 geotiffs that I am using to publish to an ArcReader pmf

The outputted pmf takes a very long time to load.... my question is if I generate overviews for the tifs, would those overviews be used when the pmf was processed and produced thus speeding up the ARcreader final out put?
