Using ArcGIS Desktop 10.2, I cannot save as a layer file to version 9.3 or lower. The error message says "This layer is not supported for the requested version. See the ArcGIS Desktop Help to learn more about saving to previous ArcGIS versions." I tried creating a layer file from an ArcSDE feature class (v. 10.0) as well as a file geodatabase (v9.3 and v10.2). Both resulted in this error message. I am able to save as a layer file to version 10.0. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a bug?
