Does anyone else have problems with editing metadata? I am trying to create FGDC compliant metadata for my organization and am having several issues. I edit the metadata in ArcCatalog and nothing changes until I use the "Upgrade Metadata" tool but then it gives me a bunch of bad .xml files with errors. I have noticed that when it does work it drops out all of my processing steps. When I used the ESRI FGDC Add-in I cannot edit anything that was input through the editor without using the editor. Then I still have to upgrade and information drops out. Is this a known bug? I have searched the forums but cannot seem to find much on this. I know about the workarounds for the import and export functions but even those are not fixing my problems.
