Hello everyone,
First time poster, long time user.
I have a fishnet layer (Polygon) clipped to the shape of the state I am working for. The attribute table has FID, Shape, and Id (all values here are 0) fields.
I also have a layer of crash data, with numerous fields.
I'm trying to use Spatial Join to find the number of crashes within each square mile. I created a layer in the Excel file of the crash data with a Value field of 1 for each point, so I could just sum them up when I do my Spatial Join.
However, whenever I try to do a Spatial Join, I use a one-to-one join, and sum up the value in the field map. I don't do anything with the match option or search radius because what I'm trying to do is pretty basic. After running it, my output attribute table is blank. I have all the fields of my crash data, as well as Target FID and other new fields, but nothing in them.
I was hoping someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong. I found this and am basing what I'm doing off of it: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/362...thin-a-polygon
I'm running ArcGIS Desktop 10.0, SP 5 on Windows 7 if that makes a difference.
Thank you in advance for any help!
