I have been trying to help someone reference some very old survey data.
The units on the diagram are described as "Cape Feet". After a bit of investigation I decided that these were the same as "Clarke feet" and made a projection definition to suit.
But my question is this. When I am looking at the data in ArcMap, and by going to the df properties, general tab and switching display units to feet. What feet is it giving me down there in the righthand corner of the screen. The units of my df ie Clarke Feet, or International feet? Ditto with the measure tool.
As an aside, it would be better if the display units always defaulted to the units of the data frame (as it used to in v9.x). Instead of always having to change it yourself after you have changed the coord sys of the df.
Thanks,
Neil
