Polygon overlap question

Does anyone know if there is a function in Arc GIS that would allow you to identify the union of a few polygons?

So I have a shapefile that contains many polygons. Each can have one of four attributes, lets call them a,b,c,d.
My goal is to be able to view the overlap of the polygons that have attributes a,b and c.
